Environmental Policy

O’Keeffe Electrical provides Electrical Installation services for commercial, industrial and domestic properties. The company recognises that good management includes all environmental matters and ensures that environmental protection and the prevention of pollution are part of all decisions, policies and practices.
We encourage environmental responsibility through all levels of our organisation, by employee awareness, environmental communication, and training. O’Keeffe Electrical makes a commitment to:
  1. Recognise that environmental risks are a normal part of the management process and ensure that adequate and appropriate resources are made available to guarantee that the environmental policy is maintained and implemented in full. 

  2. Ensure that we conduct our operations to fully comply with relevant local and national legislation and standards 

  3. Where no legislation or standard exists, establish our own environmental performance standard by which to conduct our operations. 

  4. Reduce the consumption of materials and design energy efficiency measures into new services, administration activities and site operations, so as to minimise the environmental impact. 

  5. Actively use and promote the use of products that can be recycled or disposed of safely. 

  6. Ensure that any relevant information pertaining to the environment is made readily available at the point of use to ensure that effective relations are maintained with employees, the local community and other bodies. 

  7. Undertake regular training and assessment of staff and employees to ensure that their ability to perform tasks meets the requirements of our procedures. 

  8. Conduct regular internal environmental reviews and audits to measure and assess our performance and ensure that we are meeting our policy goals as well as compliance requirements.

It is part of the organisation’s training programme that this policy is understood, implemented and maintained at all levels in the organisation. This policy will be reviewed on a regular basis to confirm its continuing suitability in assisting with the achievement of the company’s objectives.
